Cosmetic Dentistry: Veneers, Bonding & Whitening
Veneers
Veneers are a thin layer of restorative material that are placed over the existing tooth to help improve the appearance of teeth or to prevent any further decay or damage. Our doctors now primarily use ceramic, or porcelain, veneers. Advancements in dental technology has made porcelain veneers more fracture resistent. They also wear better and look better, making you happier overall.
Porcelain veneers are both strong and long lasting, and they also have a translucency that helps reflect light and create an incredibly natural looking smile. Please refer to our smile gallery to see some of the images of patients we have treated using porcelain veneers, and their happy smiles!
Bonding
If you have decayed, chipped or cracked teeth, miscolored teeth, spaces between teeth or teeth that aren't shaped exactly how you'd like, bonding can help. Bonding basically consists of using a tooth-colored resin material and "bonding" it to your natural teeth to improve imperfections.
Bonding is one of the easiest and least expensive restorative treatments, and can be done in the office during one visit. (Veneers and crowns are manufactured in a laboratory to custom-fit your tooth or teeth). Click here to view some images of patients we have treated with bonding procedures.
Whitening
Drs. Crognale, Crognale and Collins can help get your pearly whites truly pearly white. Natural wear and tear, coffee habits and other stains can affect the quality of your smile and your self-confidence.
Although we do treat some cases with in-office power bleaching treatments, we typically use a product called Opalesence, that allows us to create custom-fit whitening trays for you so that you may take your whitening treatments home and do them in the privacy of your own home. Watching the newest episode of 'How I Met Your Mother'? Might as well get a whitening treatment in, as well!
